Hi everyone.

At RC Tank World, we take user account security very seriously. Even though - due to the nature of this particular forum, there is no sensitive data that we ask for or store. I wanted to talk about 2 of the security features of RC Tank World that you may not be aware of, that will ensure your account is never compromised.

 

• 2 Factor Authentication
• Recently Logged-In Devices

 

2 Factor Authentication 

If you are not familiar with 2 factor authentication, it is basically another security step that ensures if someone ever gets your password then you have another way to protect your account.  

You can access this feature from the 'Account Settings' option in the user dropdown menu top right of the page. Then click on 'Account Security', and follow the instructions on screen. You will need to download the free Google Authenticator app from your app store to use this feature. Once it is set up, you will be sent a one time authentication code to your device and you will need to enter that code to access the forum.

 

 

Recently Logged-In Devices

This is a great tool for seeing a history of what devices have accessed your account. To access this feature go to 'Account Settings from the user dropdown box in the top right of the page. Select 'Recently Used Devices' from the side menu and presto - a complete list of all the devices that have been used to access your account. From here you can sign out of any device and even disable the Auto Login feature.
